Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Anchorage
You will have the remainder of the day to explore Anchorage on own, after arriving at the airport and making your own way to your hotel for the night. Overnight in Anchorage.

Day 2 - Anchorage to Kodiak Island
You have more free time this morning to explore the city of Anchorage before making your way to the airport this afternoon. You will fly to Kodiak Island where you then have the remainder of the lateafternoon/evening to explore Kodiak on own.

Day 3 - Kodiak Island to Katmai Wilderness Lodge
This morning you will transfer to the float plane dock where you will then board your waiting seaplane that takes you to the Katmai Coast and Katmai Wilderness Lodge. You will spend your days viewing and photographing the largest grizzlies in the world! Overnight at Katmai Wilderness Lodge.

Days 4 & 5 - Katmai Wilderness Lodge
You have two full days of activities at the lodge. You may choose guided bear viewing, photography, bird watching, guided hiking, guided sea kayaking, beach combing, or perhaps a visit to view the archaeological sites. A licensed captain will guide you to the best spots in Kukak and the surrounding bays, depending on the time of day and tides. The touring vessel named "Wilderness" was specially designed for the Katmai Wilderness Lodge so it can get close to the remote beaches. The strong tidal fluctuations in the areas produces low tides that expose mudflats and provide a unique opportunity for clam digging and beach combing. There is also the chance to fish for halibut and rock bass. Overnight at Katmai Wilderness Lodge.

Day 6 - Katmai Wilderness Lodge to Anchorage
Around mid-day a float plane will bring you back to Kodiak to meet a scheduled flight to Anchorage. Arrive this afternoon into Anchorage where you will spend your last night. Overnight in Anchorage.

Day 7 - Depart Anchorage
Upon check out of your hotel in Anchorage and your transfer to the airport your holiday with Fresh Tracks comes to an end.
